1. Highway A9, exit 42 (Perpignan-Sud) towards Argelès-sur-Mer
2. At the circle, turn right towards D900 Gérone / Argelès-sur-Mer
3. Follow this direction for several kilometers, you pass several circles. You arrive
on the D914.
4. Then towards Elne / Saint-Cyprien / Argelès-sur-Mer, you come to the dual
carriageway D914 and follow that one for about 10 km until you arrive at Exit 7
5. After taking the exit 7, go to direction Latour-Bas-Elne
6. You will receive the remaining route to the "Villa Petit Reve" before your stay.
Another note:
French highways are definitely one of the best in the world. Relaxed driving is
usually guaranteed. Nevertheless, in the high season, you should plan your trip. We
have found that travelling in two stages is useful. To avoid congestion on the A7 in
the Rhone Valley, a one-night stopover in the area of Lyon is recommended, so you
can head southbound in the early hours of the next day. We can give you
information about appropriate hotels near the highway.
Railway
As the train connections depend on your point of departure, we just give you some
basic tips.
Popular is travelling in the sleepers of the night trains Strasbourg - Port Bou or
Paris - Port Bou. One advantage is that you can get off at Elne station which is 4
km from the Villa Petit Rêve. If you need a rental car, we recommend to get off at
Perpignan station, since all major car rental companies are located there. In that
case, however, you should pay attention to the opening hours of the car rental
counters to avoid a bad experience after a long journey.
The high speed train TGV is serving the Perpignan main station several times a
day. There are connections from Strasbourg with change in e.g. Montpellier, Lyon,
Paris. A trip to Barcelona, which takes 1hr and 20min may be interesting during
your stay.
Basically, it is advisable to book the tickets well in advance as prices are then really
very competitive.

There is an interesting feature about the bus network of the Pyrenees-Orientales,
that most residents and tourists love: the very cheap bus fares.
